GHK-Cu
WHAT’S THE HYPE ABOUT?

The regenerative capacity of the gut can be hindered by various factors such as ageing, alcohol consumption, heat stress, and persistent oxidative stress caused by emotional stress, overtraining, pollutants, and mycotoxins, among others. Ulcerative Colitis and Chrons disease are conditions that can results from the above mentioned factors, and are both characterised by excessive epithelial cell death. Tissue repair and healing rely on the production of small peptides within the body, including GHK. GHK levels are naturally higher in individuals aged 25 years or younger. However, as we age, our ability to renew and restore tissue diminishes. This is where GHK can play a crucial role in providing the necessary support for tissue regeneration.

PEA
LET’S DIVE DEEPER.

Combining GHK with the endo-cannabinoid PEA (Palmitoylethanolamide) enhances the restoration ability by helping immune cells migrate to damaged intestinal sites. Elevated pro-inflammatory proteins contribute to accelerated ageing and health conditions like rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, type 1 diabetes, and multiple sclerosis. GHK deactivates inflammatory genes and suppresses inflammatory proteins, while PEA activates anti-inflammatory nuclear receptor proteins, regulating pain and inflammation genes. Together, these compounds significantly improve complications arising from inflammatory responses. Additionally, this combination aids in wound healing, skin rejuvenation, hair follicle improvement, neuropathic pain relief, respiratory distress alleviation, hypertension control, headache management, and mitigating damage from sleep deprivation. Given the multitude of factors impacting the body’s regenerative capacities, especially gut tissue, assistance is crucial now more than ever.

BPC-157
WHAT’S THE HYPE ABOUT?

Instead of just looking at peptides as sport performance enhancing compounds. We need to understand that peptides are just chain of amino acids that could play a key role in our bodies ability to rejuvenate and repair. BPC-157 (Body Protection Complex – 157) consists of 15 amino chains, many of which are required for connective tissue. Epithelium and the different layers of the gut lining are made up mainly of type 1 collagen and need building blocks like amino acids to help with its structure. BPC-157 supports improvement in inflammatory disorders, bones and joints, tendons and ligament healing and the blood brain barrier. If these connective tissue areas within the body can benefit from this peptide, then so can the gut lining. It also has the ability to help gastrointestinal fissures (small tears in the mucosa)

LACTOFERRIN
LET’S DIVE DEEPER.

Lactoferrin, a globular glycoprotein found in breastmilk, tears, and nasal secretions, exhibits significant potential in correcting early pregnancy iron deficiency. Released by specific white blood cells during gastrointestinal inflammation, lactoferrin plays a crucial role in the immune system, stimulating phagocytes. It regulates good and bad bacteria levels by virtue of its antimicrobial properties, including toxicity against various harmful microorganisms. Additionally, lactoferrin’s ability to bind and neutralise lipopolysaccharides offers benefits for individuals with negative gram bacterial overgrowth, helicobacter overgrowth, and small intestinal bacterial overgrowth. Although underrated, lactoferrin deserves attention in functional medicine.
